Bush Vs. Batman

More ways in which Bush is like Batman

(h/t to Atrios)

(h/t to Shakesville)

Personally, I have to say that I have always thought of Bush more as The Boy Blunder.

John K: Its a movie. Its fiction! Now if this were a Stars Wars movie Jaywillie would have put on his Hans Solo costume and Cathcatz would have dressed up like Princess Leah and pretended it was real. You left wingers are funny.

During World War II -- the Japanese developed a way to demoralize the American forces. Psychological warfare experts developed a message they
felt would work.

They gave the script to their famous broadcaster 'Tokyo Rose' and every day she would broadcast this same message packaged in different ways, hoping it would have a negative impact on American GI's morale.

What was that demoralizing message? It had three
main points:

1. Your President is lying to you.

2. This war is illegal.

3. You cannot win the war.

Does this sound familiar? Hillary, Harry, John, Obama, Teddy, Nancy , etc. have picked up on the same message and are broadcasting it on CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, etc., to our nation's citizens and our troops!

The only difference is that they claim to support our troops before they demoralize them. Come to think of it, didn't Tokyo Rose tell the troops she was on their side, too?

Oh my...the stupidity is thick in the air today, eh?

It's called a joke, John K. You know, like your arguments and ideas.

And to the clown that made the Tokyo Rose reference...yeah, you might want to actually read up on Tokyo Rose because you would discover that she was not "their famous broadcaster" but a generic name used by Allied Forces in reference to the dozen or so english-speaking Japanese female propagandists.

Yet it's Repbulicans like John McCain that have consistently voted against the equipment our troops needed, like body armor, and increasing their benefits, while it's the Democrats that have consistently voted to give them want they needed and expand Veterans benefits to adequately meet the needs of our returning service men and women.

Keeping pounding your chests like the barrel-chested, brain-damaged simians you resemble.

On a brighter note, the new movie is fan-freakin'-tastic! I'm just glad that the effort of some idiot scrawling on the WSJ op-ed page has been greeted with the derision that it deserves and does nothing to detract, distract, and/or denigrate such a fine, fine film.

John K: Then take off the Hans Solo costume jaywillie and start living in the real world. Using movie scripts to draw comparisons with out President is about as loony as it gets. What's next comic books?

John K: Advise to Jaywillie, go to the book store and buy a non fiction book to read.

umm... would i be leia in star wars with that horrid white robe thing and the donut buns? or the sassy slave in retun of the jedi, wearing that skimpy outfit with jabba the hut????

John: 1. The WSJ started it with the "Maybe Bush IS Batman" piece, so blame them for this whoe meme.

2. One can read fiction - 'graphic' or otherwise and nonfiction at the same time (may I recommend "McMafia", which is about transnational organized crime, for exmaple?).

Cath: I assume that's a rhetorical question. I mean, every fanboy, nay, every Gen-Xer like myself who hit puberty just in time for Return of the Jedi has that image seared into his brain. Good times, good times!

John K: Advice to ALL left wingers in this blog. Go to the bookstore and buy a non fiction book to read. This works much better than trying to rewrite history thru the movies.

we liberals prefer the library. since the economy is in the shitter, i can't afford to buy books. the last book that i did get from the library WAS non-fiction, and in fact, recommended by you.

*shrug*

Someone missed the lesson on metaphors.

Ah...see, John's problem is with anyone that makes an unfavorable comment toward his accepted version of history.

Obtuse isn't just some kind of triangle; it's a state of mind.
