Democracy Has Prevailed.

Facts Matter

From Rachel Maddow:
Ohio really did go to the president last night.

And he really did win.
And he really was born in Hawaii.
And he really is -legitimately- President of the United States.

Again.

And the Bureau of Labor Statistics did not make-up a fake unemployment rate last month.
And the Congressional Research Service really can find no evidence that cutting taxes on rich people grows the economy.

And the polls were not skewed to over-sample Democrats.
And Nate Silver was not making up fake projections about the election to make conservatives feel bad.

He was doing math.

And climate change is real.
And rape really does cause pregnancy sometimes.
And evolution is a thing.
And Benghazi was an attack on us.

It was not a scandal by us.

And no one is taking away anyone's guns.
And taxes haven't gone up.
And the deficit is dropping, actually.
And Saddam Hussein didn't have weapons of mass destruction.

And the moon landing was real.
And FEMA isn't building concentration camps.
And UN election observers aren't taking over Texas.
And moderate reforms of the regulations on the insurance industry and the financial services industry are not the same thing as communism.
Facts matter.

Obama Calls For Renewal Of Assault Weapons Ban
Maddow will just call any mistakes a editing error.
Yes, Rachel, when you go on national TV — or even MSNBC — and say that a member of Congress had advance knowledge of a mass murder, it might raise a few eyebrows. And tempers. It’s a bit more serious than an “editing error.”

Does it really count as an apology if you use it to mock the people who pointed out you were wrong? It’s good enough for her bosses, apparently. Too bad she couldn’t put away her pride for the 30 seconds it would’ve taken to avoid coming off like a smirking, thin-skinned crank, seething at being forced to concede a point to her inferiors

So HTTT, you cherry pick two comments and launch a personal attack on Rachel Maddow, and that is supposed to invalidate climate change and prove that the BLS cooked the books for Obama?

We still do not know what the CIA (or the State Department, for that matter) was saying to Obama directly, regardless of what emails going partly up the chain say. On September 12th or any day since. But pretty much everybody now knows this was a terrorist attack, possibly connected to the fact that a chunk of the consulate was a CIA facility.

And a renewed assault weapon ban, if it contained the same language as the original, would only apply to new manufacture of guns. And any reasonable person (a standard I don't expect you to live up to) would recognize that a renewed AWB would have zero chance of passage in the House of Representatives, even if five (more) Representatives were shot and perhaps killed with weapons that had high capacity magazines.

Ed,
Maddow's entire list is a cherry pick of what progressives believe are Republican positions.

HTTT;

You're incorrect again. It's a list of anti-factual assertions made by conservatives over the last few years.

LIke anti-factual assertion made by progressives, Gunwalking in Fast and Furious was a hoax.
Rachel promoted the Fortune article by Katherine Eban that falsely claims that BATF never intentionally let guns go to Mexican drug gangs.

She said nothing about the DOJ IG that proves the Fortune article by Katherine Eban to be false and stated 15 BATF/DOJ personnel to be at fault. 5 of which have resigned.
